“You can find magic wherever you look. Sit back and relax, all you need is a book.” —Dr. Seuss

It’s easy to forget that books are magic, and we who help make them are contributing to children’s access to that magic. Can I suggest that you sit down right now and allow the magic to flow through your fingers. Remember that magic can sometimes be messy. You can edit your work later. For now, feel the magic as you just sit and write. Write about what, you might ask. Whatever you wish. And if nothing comes to you, look around your room and pick an object. Animate it. Write about it.
